If I told you that there was a place here in Devon that not only rids you of stress but also gives your immune and digestive systems a boost you wouldn’t believe me, would you?

Sandwell Farmhouse, which lies just outside Totnes, offers just that. Their Oasis of Wellbeing Holistic Spa Days are relaxing, peaceful and a great way to kickstart a healthier way of life.

Run by Kate Harris, a trained life coach and occupational therapist, you’ll leave the farmhouse feeling like a new person.

Inspired by Jason Vale’s Super Juice Me programme, which includes the successful book ‘7lbs in 7 Days’, Kate is an avid juicer. You’ll start the day with a delicious juice smoothie made from organic fruits and vegetables, full of antioxidents, vitamins and live enzymes.

But it’s not all about juices. You’ll also get a tasty three course alkaline lunch of soup, salad and raw vegetable cake - no artificial sugars, meat or processed foods here!

Food aside, you’ll also enjoy a group guided visualisation, plus one of the relaxing treatments on offer - reflexology, reiki, or a rejuvenating facial massage.

I experienced both the reflexology and the facial massage, and was so relaxed I nearly dozed off!

There is also a heated pool, sauna and jacuzzi for you to unwind in, plus small group yoga sessions for you to relieve any tension in your muscles.

One thing’s for sure, I left at 5pm feeling relaxed yet full of energy from the natural food.

Kate also runs juicing retreats at Sandwell Farmhouse. For more information visit sandwellfarmhouse.co.uk
