Newsflash Former Devon Life Managing Editor, Anita Newcombe is tracking a close friend of her family, Ash Jeyes as he paddles solo and unsupported from the UK to Spain in aid of Help for Heroes. Please follow his live tracker and support generously.

Ash is planning to leave UK on Monday 28th June and his attempt will see him travelling around 900 Nautical Miles, and traversing the Channel Islands, the Brest Peninsula and the Bay of Biscay. That means crossing the Channel (and the busiest shipping lane in the world), and making his way down the treacherous Bay of Biscay, against some of the toughest tidal conditions in the world.

You can follow Ash's progress, get in contact with him, and spread the word to your friends, all so that we, together, can raise as much money for Help for Heroes as possible. Together we can thank the Service Men and Women who have fought and been wounded overseas on behalf of our Country.
