On Sunday 9 June, staff from Care South's Fremington Manor in Barnstable will be cycling over 66 miles to raise money for the North Devon Hospice.

Martin Souster, Head Chef at Fremington Manor, Home Care Manager, Corinne Topps, and Kitchen Assistant, Carl Malkin, will all take part in the annual Devon Coast to Coast Challenge. The team will start in Ilfracombe and follow a circular route through Libbaton, Beaford and Barnstable.

In preparation for the race, they have been leaving their cars at home and cycling into work, as well as going on long cycle rides in the evenings and at weekends.

Martin Souster said: “It’s a tough cycle ride but it’s a cause that we all admire and believe in. The hospice provides vital care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

“We raised £500 for the North Devon Hospice doing the Coast to Coast Challenge last year and we’re aiming to raise even more this year.”
