Dartmouth Caring members have taken part in a river trip to Greenway Agatha Christies idyllic home on the river Dart.
The Charity organised its fourth trip in partnership with Greenway Ferries for all its lunch club members some of whom have never visited or even seen the iconic house just down the river. The National Trust owned property has only been opened to public visitors recently and Dartmouth Caring has made a point of taking its members on trips down the river to see it.
The jaunt on Thursday July 23 was the fourth such trip and Dartmouth Caring Chairman Dee Nutt said it was a wonderful day out.
We are so pleased to be working with Greenway Ferries who make us feel so welcome, she commented. We had such a lovely time. Some of our members had never been on the river Dart for such a fun trip before even though they had lived alongside the river all their lives. As well as providing huge and complex support for the vulnerable adults of Dartmouth, we think it is vitally important to maintain social events for our members too. This was a lovely day and we had such a great time.
