Make at 140 Vauxhall St is a new modern haberdashery and café in Plymouth offering a variety of workshops for craft lovers to make and learn new skills.

Situated next to Plymouth’s Sutton Harbour Waterfront, Make offers workshops for beginners, including ‘Get to Know Your Sewing Machine’, to keen improvers, offering help with specialised pieces such as clothing and sewing with tricky materials.

Owner Lizzy Evans developed the idea for the shop, café and workshop space from her award winning button shop, Funky Poppy, which has moved to become a part of the new crafty community at Make.

Lizzy says: “We want Make at 140 to become a community for crafters and creators, somewhere to come and feel comfortable to make.”

“As well as learning new skills, you can also meet fellow craft lovers, build your confidence in using different techniques and get inspiration for the next exciting project!”
