Devon Life reader Lee Coleman reviews the folklore book
Dartmoor has its legends and folklores, and these stories have been around for years. This book brings them together with the addition of investigations into some of Dartmoor’s haunted buildings.
Haunted Dartmoor was a very enjoyable read, with the stories being short and published in alphabetical order.
Having read books about Dartmoor before, I found it refreshing to read new tales while going over old ones, including ‘hairy hands’.
The investigations could have been a bit shorter but their addition gave the book an interesting twist and made it stand out from the rest.
Overall, an enjoyable and different book for anyone who has an interest in the spooky side of Dartmoor.
