Otterton Mill, now widely recognised as the South West's leading roots music venue, today released tickets for its April to June music season. As ever, the programme features world-class musicians from many fields of music

Otterton Mill, now widely recognised as the South Wests leading roots music venue, today released tickets for itsApril to Junemusic season. As ever, the programme features world-class musicians from the fields ofblues andfolk, country,boogie woogie, acoustic pop and americana.

All concerts take place in the Mills intimate caf-restaurant situated within the historic Mill buildings, and music-goers can enjoy great menus of seasonal foodbetween 6 to 7.30pm. Music starts at 8pm. (Note: ticket prices shown cover music only).

Thu 21 April RAG MAMA RAG tickets 12.00

A welcome return for Mill favourites Rag Mama Rag. Husband and wife duo, Ashley and Deborah, deliver a barnstorming mix of 20s and 30s Mississippi Blues and ragtime, alongside original compositions. Playing everything from lapsteel and bottleneck guitar, to dobro, ukulele, washboard, harmonica, spoons and African drum, theyll have your feet tapping and a smile on your face!

Thu 5th May LINDA MCRAE tickets 11.75

Often called the Queen of Canadian music, multi-instrumentalist Linda is a true pioneer of honest roots music. With two platinum and three gold CDs to her credit, Lindas brand of soulful country-folk has won her huge critical acclaim. Her warmly powerful voice and masterful playing combine old-time sounds with universal themes of heartbreak and redemption. Playing clawhammer banjo, acoustic guitar, accordion and porchboard bass, shes accompanied by Martin Bell (Albion Band & The Wonder Stuff).

Thu 12th May CLIVE GREGSON tickets 11.50

A consummate songwriter, musician and world-renowned producer, Clive led cult 80s band Any Trouble, and later formed a ground-breaking duo with Christine Collister. Hes played with everyone from Richard Thompson and Eddi Reader, to Boo Hewerdine and Nanci Griffith, and had his songs recorded by Kim Carnes, Fairport Convention and Norma Waterson, among many others. His live shows are something special, and his music is full of wit, romance and tight pop brilliance.

Thu 19th May KIERAN GOSS tickets 11.50

One of Irelands leading songwriters and most gifted performers (Don Williams), Kierans music has won him fans across the globe. His beautifully crafted songs combine a lyrical tenderness and emotional depth with simply gorgeous melodies. This modern-day troubadour is blessed with a voice sent express mail from heaven (Time Out) and his on-stage charisma has his audiences spellbound.

Thu 26th May EDWINA HAYES tickets 10.50

Emerging singer/songwriter Edwina numbers Michael Parkinson and Bob Harris among her fans. Her beautifully written songs, charming stage presence and voice of an angel have won her a reputation as a true natural talent of gentle folk-americana. She has opened numerous shows for Jools Holland and Van Morrison, and the title track of her last album Pour Me A Drink was covered by Nanci Griffith. A rising star!

Thu 2nd June BOB HALL & HILARY BLYTHE tickets 11.75

Britains finest blues and boogie pianist makes a welcome Mill return. Since finding fame in the RnB explosion of the sixties, Bob has influenced generations of piano players and left a lasting legacy. His energetic and joyful performances are augmented by stories drawn from a lifetime in music and a passion for American folk and blues history. Partner Hilary adds crystal-clear harmonies and a rock-steady bass to Bobs distinctive style.

During a 40 year career, Bob has become one of the most highly regarded and well loved singer/guitarists in the UK and beyond. Blessed with one of the best voices in British folk music, and coupled with astonishing guitar technique, he performs pure and unadulterated folk music at its finest. With several award-winning albums to his credit, Bobs masterful interpretation of traditional and contemporary songs has earned him no less than five nominations in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.

Fri 24th June CHUCK BRODSKY tickets 11.50

From North Carolina, Chuck is an extraordinary musical storyteller, who captivates audiences with his dry, barb-witted social commentaries, infused with humanity, compassion and humour. His colourful lyrics tell the stories of everyday folk muddling through their lives, and are delivered with a well-travelled voice and amazing finger-picking guitar technique that draws on influences from the Carolina mountains, and traditional American folk. Hes appeared in concert with Arlo Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Richie Havens and John Hartford, among many others.

Otterton Mill is located between Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth on the River Otter.
