The inaugural event in 2013 welcomed well over 1,000 visitors and the organisers have seen increased interest this year from both artists and visitors. 15 local schools are among community groups contributing life-size geese to a community art installation and exhibitions, workshops, demonstrations and performances will take place at 10 venues in and near Bradworthy. Artists and craftspeople from a range of disciplines including painters, sculptors, ceramicists, jewellers, textile artists and musicians will share their work and skills with visitors, who will also be able to pick up new skills with a wide range of activities including:

-Create and decorate a clay tile or plaque with Tarka Pottery or turn up the heat with Angelique Medland’s raku firing

Dawn Brookes-Ensor, chair and founder of Bradworthy Arts Festival said: “At our inaugural event both artists and craftspeople were thrilled with the response they got throughout the weekend from families and people of all ages. From their feedback and the enthusiastic response to this year’s registrations, we’re expecting that Bradworthy Arts Festival 2014 will be an even better celebration of the fantastic work and talented artists of all types in North Devon.”
