Art Exhibition at the Royal National Mission To Deep Sea Fishermen at Newlyn

This year the Mission at Newlyn celebrates its centenary, and commissionedDavid Langsworthyto paint a series of canvases depicting thetrawlers and fishermen working in the port.

Twenty seven paintings were completed and the exhibition was opened on the 18th. March, and is due to run until August 29th, the day of the 'Newlyn Fish Festival'. A percentage of sales is to be donated to the 'Royal Mission for deep Sea Fishermen' Newlyn,which is threatened with closure.
