Mathew Prichard, Agatha Christie's grandson, presents "The Art of Adapting Agatha Christie" during the Agatha Christie Festival, which takes place on the English Riviera from 11th – 18th September.

Spectacular birthday fireworks, chilled champagne, elegant tea dancing, murder mystery dining on the Dartmouth Express plus a world-exclusive event The Art of Adapting Agatha Christie will all be part of the Agatha Christie Birthday Celebrations on Thursday 15th September.


Mathew Prichard, Agatha Christies grandson, presents The Art of Adapting Agatha Christie during the Agatha Christie Festival, which takes place on the English Riviera from 11th 18th September.

Agatha Christies original books and plays have been adapted for film, television, computer games and radio for the enjoyment of many millions of fans worldwide. The enduring nature of Agatha Christies extraordinary murder mysteries and beloved detectives will no doubt continue to lend themselves to many further adaptations in the future as technology moves on.

Adaptation is an art in itself, and Mathew Prichard, Agatha Christies grandson, has assembled a panel of experts to discuss it, with excerpts from a range of adaptations, which should stimulate discussion with the audience. Agatha Christies work has had the privilege and the benefit of being adapted, produced and directed by some of the best talents in the business and as well as celebrating Agatha Christies birthday, this special evening will be a tribute to their skills. (Note: the evening will be filmed and uploaded to YouTube the following day)
