Two new local independent retailers have opened their doors in Princesshay just in time for Christmas. These two latest signings mean that the shopping centre is nearly fully occupied for the key Christmas trading period, with only one vacant unit remaining!
The first new retailer is The Cove located next door to Carluccios in Princesshay offering a range of body and bath products, gifts, candles and much more for both men and women providing much needed inspiration for that special someone this Christmas.
The second is the unique and exciting POP! Gallery, occupying the former Parchment unit selling a wide range of local art from the South West, with everything from printmaking to photography, perfect for that unique and special Christmas gift.
With an original store in Dartmouth, the Cove opened its second store in the former Chatham Marine unit in Princesshay last weekend and offers natural and where possible, locally sourced products from ranges such as 100% organic Spieza products made in Cornwall. The new independent store also offers handmade soaps from Totnes and natural makeup with interchangeable casing to cut down on packaging. The store hopes to expand their offering into a beauty spa in Princesshay as theyve done in Dartmouth offering treatments from professional therapists. After searching hard for the perfect location for their second Cove store, Exeter the vibrant capital of the South West region was an obvious choice.
Claudia McCormack, owner of The Cove said Our location in Princesshay among the offices, stylish apartments and big brand stores is perfect, we couldnt of hoped for a better site and we hope customers enjoy our range of natural products and treatments which all make ideal Christmas presents.
Located in the former Parchment unit on Bedford Street the POP! Gallery seeks to bring affordable art to Exeter from printmaking to photography, painting and sculpture, framed and unframed prints, cards and postcards. All of the work on offer in this pop up gallery is sourced from artists based in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. The pieces are available to buy and take home instantly, and will be restocked with new works so that the space always has something new to offer.
Wayne Pearce, Princesshay Centre Director said, We are delighted to welcome two new independent retailers to Princesshay. As a centre we continue to attract unique and original retailers as well as the big brand names, giving shoppers an eclectic and comprehensive mix of shops and restaurants when visiting us this Christmas.
