Flashes of bright Rugby socks could be seen all the way from Exeter to Twickenham this weekend as the team behind clothing lifestyle brand Rampant Sporting took part in the 200 mile Rampant Run.

The relay runners got their starting orders at Paignton Zoo in Devon and ended with a triumphant lap of honour at Twickenham during the England Rugby teams glorious win over France in their Six Nations clash.

Athletes and celebrities were amongst the runners who hope to raise over 100,000 for local charities. Athletes that took part included Paralympic skier and Rampant Sporting ambassador Tim Farr, plus England Rugby Union stars Philip Vickery and Lee Mears.

England Rugby coach Martin Johnson gave the runners a surprise visit on the third day of the run to raise the teams spirits.

At Twickenham the Rampant Run got the Royal stamp of approval with Prince Harry at the side-lines supporting the Rampant team as they ran a lap of the stadium at half-time.

Starting out as a brand selling luxury Rugby socks Rampant Sporting has grown into a popular sporting lifestyle brand attaining cult status online and through the 40-plus shows the brand attends each year. It will open its first store in Exeter in April.

It was the perfect partner for the run and provided all the kit and some much needed Rampant Spirit to the runners over the 4-day event.

Rampant Sporting was set up by Exeter University graduates who were proud to support the event and kept up with all runners to record every mile, every smile and every blister. See how they got on at www.rampantsporting.com.
