The Centre for Marine and Coastal Policy Research are asking for information from locals to support their research
Are you a passionate about the River Dart? If so, Plymouth University want to hear from you.
Staff from the Centre for Marine and Coastal Policy Research will be in Totnes town centre and Steamer Quay on Saturday 17th May, 2014 (10am-4pm) and are looking for locals and visitors to help with their research.
They would like to know the following information from you:
• Important areas or places on the river
• Uses of the river
• Any known risks or threats to the river
Rebecca Shellock, principal researcher on the project, said: “The Dart is one of the most well-known and beautiful rivers in Britain, however little research has looked into the importance of the river to the local community and visitors to the area.”
This research will help to advise local management of the river, tourism, marine conservation and will contribute to academic research.
If you are interested in helping with this research, please contact Rebecca at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the team on the day.
