Following a fantastic inaugural year in 2010, HOME Festival is back in 2011 with an exceptional line-up of musicians and performers from across the globe. Headlined by US singer-songwriter Suzanne Vega, HOME brings acoustic music, voices and song from around the world to the magical grounds of the Dartington Hall estate in the heart of Devon.

David Francis, Director of Arts at Dartington, explained: HOME is a celebration of music, voice, language and different cultures at a time when were losing global cultural diversity. Were delighted to welcome musicians and performers from around the world to Dartington for this very special, intimate festival. Weve learnt lots from last year so this years festival will see many on-site enhancements including an extended programme (opening on the Friday night), a much wider choice of food, expanded camping facilities and new outdoor stage.

Global acts joining Suzanne Vega include Alejandro Toledo & the Magic Tombolinos, an ensemble of travelling musicians from Argentina, Italy, Slovakia and Portugal; celebrated sitar player and composer Sheema Mukherjee; guitarist and Robert Plant collaborator Justin Adams with Gambian master musician Juldeh Camara; and Tamikrest, a group of young musicians from the nomadic Touareg community of northern Mali. The special focus at HOME is on acoustic music in an intimate environment, with some acts performing both their usual festival set on the outdoor stage as well as a unique, acoustic set in the Great Hall.

As well as outstanding international artists the festival also features food, films, workshops and family events.

Festival tickets for Friday and Saturday combined are priced at 48.50 full price, 38.50 concession. Full details and booking information are available online at www.dartington.org/home. Last years event sold out so book early!
