Christmas at Dartington

Festive festivals, celebratory concerts and seasonal shopping

Seasonal treats on offer at Dartington Hall this December include a community Christmas Tree Festival, celebratory concerts by local and national names plus seasonal late night shopping at the Shops at Dartington.

Dartingtons first ever Christmas Tree Festival showcases twelve Christmas Trees, individually decorated by twelve local community groups in response to a theme that links to Dartingtons work in the arts, social justice and sustainability. The twelve trees will light up Dartingtons medieval courtyard throughout December, with a ceremonial opening from 6.30pm on Thursday 9th December featuring community carol singing and festive food and drink. Visitors to the Hall will then be able to admire the trees every evening until 21st December.

Festival-goers will be able to mix tree-viewing with festive late night Christmas shopping at the Shops at Dartington (formerly Cider Press Centre) every Thursday from 9th to 23rd December.

Seasonal music in the Great Hall tops the line-up, with celebratory Christmas concerts from St. Agnes Fountain on Thursday 9th December, Dartington Community Choir on Sunday 12th December and the Dufay Collective on Saturday 18 December.
