Muddy Good Fun....but poles apart from bags and Art!

Sue Sturton, local business entrepreneur, has embarked on a new retail project in Cornwall.

Previously known for a renowned and respected contemporary art gallery in the South Hams, and for being pivotal in the Plastic Bag Campaign with Rebecca Hosking OBE in Modbury, South Devon, Sue has now turned her hand to something completely different.

Sue, a self-confessed equine addict, has turned her attention to the equestrian market and is opening a country store with a difference, in Saltash.

As well as clothing and equipment for equine enthusiasts, she will also be stocking a wide range of shooting clothes which look set to help the younger 18-35 age bracket stand out.

Well known labels will be stocked atHACKSincluding young lifestyle clothing brand -Rampant Sportingwhich encompasses youth, vibrancy and fun something Sue believes will be key to the success of her business.

Sue explained:Equestrianism and field sports are about enjoying and appreciating the great British outdoors, having fun and being with friends.

But there seems to be a real gap in the type of clothes available. Country pursuits are becoming increasingly popular, of course there are colour restrictions, but there is no reason why when a young man goes shooting he should present the mirror image of his Dad!

Well be stocking clothes that are slightly different and which will appeal to young people who want to wear quality, stylish comfortable kit and look good.

Other clothing brands which will be stocked at Hacks include Aigle, Ariat, Caldene and Townend as well as horse and dog feed, tack and equipment.

Sue commented:We will be stocking all things equestrian but our strength will be in the clothing we stock. We believe our position in an area with its rich equine and shooting population, and by-passed by people on their way to holiday destinations in Cornwall, right next to Waitrose, is perfect.
