The beautiful seaside town of Budleigh Salterton is the sophisticated backdrop for this delightful literary festival which will welcome award-winning authors, acclaimed journalists and fascinating thought-leaders. The 2019 Festival Fringe includes former Exeter Life columnist, Sunday Times best-selling author and blogger Sarah Turner from Exeter aka The Unmumsy Mum, the ever-popular open-mic poetry evening, and East Devon Writers Group.

As well as more than 50 events across five days, the Festival will also facilitate author visits to schools across East Devon, inspiring and nurturing a passion for words.

Abbfest - September 20 - 22

Food, beer and music are the stars of this festival taking place at Fermoy's Garden Centre near Newton Abbot. The festival's aim is to raise money for the local community and local charities with over £220,000 raised since its inception 14 years ago.

It starts at 5pm on the Friday and 10.30am on Saturday and Sunday.
