Red Rock Entertainment are offering investment opportunities in a new animated feature about an audacious lifeboat rescue during an 1899 storm

On a January evening in 1899 the Forrest Hall ship ran into trouble a few miles away from Lynmouth while being battered by a severe gale.

With no rescue launch possible from the harbour, the decision was taken to haul Lynmouth's ten-tonne lifeboat - Louisa - 15 miles up and down steep Exmoor hills to Porlock Weir.

Around 100 people and 20 horses pitched in to get the boat to Porlock yet still the work of the exhausted crew was nowhere near over. After the 11-hour haul, the lifeboatmen still had a one-hour row out to the Forrest Hall in dangerously stormy conditions.

They made it out to the stranded vessel and while they waited for tugs to take away the Forrest Hall, the men rowed continuously until daylight to maintain a position where they could provide help if required.

Thanks to the help of the Louisa crew, the Forrest Hall was finally towed safely into Barry port at 5am on January 14.

These feats of heroism and bravery are the basis for a new family-friendly animated film 'Louisa: An Amazing Adventure' that is being produced by Elstree Studios-based company Red Rock Entertainment.

The film was completed and screened locally where it has received rave reviews. There is still some work to be done on the project and Red Rock have been working with the film makers to upgrade sound and picture quality to ensure it is ready for international showings.

Red Rock are now offering the opportunity to invest in the film and this brings with it a number of perks and benefits.

For your equity investment at 25% premium you will receive a share in all royalties, private screenings, a chance to walk the red carpet, your name in the credits and the knowledge that you've played your part in preserving an astonishing piece of Devon and British history.

Red Rock Entertainment have financed 32 films and primarily looks to secure investment for films that are an advanced stage and are looking for the final push of money to bring the project to life.
