Blueriver Cottages, Dartmouth

The team at Blueriver Cottages know how lucky they are to live in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, reflected in the quality of the properties they let

Blueriver Cottages is a Dartmouth owned and based lettings agency that specialises in both holiday cottages and residential lettings.

A self-catering holiday cottage from Blueriver Cottages is the first step to enjoying the best of stunning South Devon, from the historic market towns of Totnes and Kingsbridge to the hidden coves, stunning cliff-top walks along the South West Coast path and enchanting estuaries. Booking your holiday property with Blueriver will bring quality, freedom, authenticity, independence, and choice.

One such property is High and Over, a unique detached Art Deco property located in an elevated position. Due to its fantastic location the property enjoys outstanding 180 degree views across the River Dart from the mouth of the river to the Britannia Royal Naval College, taking in views of the village of Kingswear on the opposite side.

The property is situated in Above Town, a very sought after and popular area of the town due to its parallel running to the river, and thus reaping the rewards of this fabulous spot.

To the front is a large sun terrace, providing a fantastic location for ‘al fresco’ dining and for watching all the action on the River Dart from the ferries crossing back and forth to the excitement of the whaler races at Regatta and of course a most excellent vantage point to watch the fabulous Red Arrows as they fly past at eye level.

The property is furnished to a high standard throughout and still maintains some original art deco features of ornate cornices and the pendant light fittings. The property also boasts a fantastic spacious bathroom with a feature freestanding contemporary bath. Sliding patio doors lead from the spacious lounge and separate dining room onto the fabulous terrace stretching the full length of the property with a raised decked area with outdoor dining provision to one side.

To keep the children occupied during their stay there is a separate TV/play room with entertainment provided by a flatscreen Freeview TV, Wii games console, a large provision of books and games as well as the availability of wi-fi.
