New affordable homes built in Sandford

The residents of Sandford are celebrating after a new development of affordable homes has arrived in the village.

Summerfield Developments have recently finished work on the Creedy View development set in the Mid-Devon countryside near Crediton.

The homes are the first major residential development in the area for over 20 years. Each of the nineteen properties has been carefully designed to complement its scenic location, whilst maintaining all the benefits of a modern home.

Chair of Sandford Parish Council, Shauna Waller, said of the development, “Summerfield Homes should be commended on the quality of the Creedy View development. Rarely do you find affordable homes with such character and we are proud and pleased that they are here in Sandford.”

The development has also provided the villagers with a play area for local families and a new car park for the Parish Hall. Ms Waller celebrated the opening with local councillors and residents at an event held in October.

The local MP, Mel Stride, praised the development: “Creedy View is a fantastic initiative which has been a long time coming into fruition. It is important that we create these affordable homes for the younger generation and for people to keep the community here thriving. I’d like to wish much success to all those who live here.”

With thatched roofs, cobbled pavements and character befitting its charming location, it is no wonder all of the homes have been snapped up.
