The new owners of Burgh Island say the famous art deco hotel will undergo a year-long multi-million renovation which will see it include a private members’ club and a luxury spa.

In a statement the company said: “The Burgh Island Hotel will undergo a multimillion pound renovation, lasting a total of twelve months, which whilst retaining its 1920’s genre, will see a renaissance of this truly romantic and exclusive destination, with several exciting new guest experiences being considered as part of the transformation, including a private members club, a luxury spa.
“OSiT’s clients, who already benefit from ‘private member access’ to each of its 11 high-design, centrally located, nation-wide serviced office buildings, will be able to enjoy the hotel at discounted rates for corporate events such as AGMs and shareholder meetings, offer it as part of staff bonus packages or even hire it for personal use for special occasions such as birthdays, weddings and Christmas.”
The company said there were no plans to close the hotel during what will be a “rolling refurb”.
