Devon is particularly stunning at this time of year and so we’ve picked out 18 stunning pictures that encapsulate the county during the festive period

4. There are so many places for a beautiful winter walk - Watersmeet is just one of them

5. Sidmouth is just one of the many amazing coastal towns that are still gorgeous during winter

6. Dawlish looks beautifully intimidating as winter storms threatens to batter the coast

7. You’re probably best off waiting for the weather to die down before going for a coastal walk near Burgh Island

9. Although humans probably prefer the sight of a cosy pub during the Christmas break

10. If there’s not too much snow, Haldon Forest is a lovely place for a woodland walk

11. Our towns and cities also love to show off at this time of year: here Barnstaple struts its stuff at dusk

12. While the streets near Plymouth’s Barbican are draped in beautiful Christmas lights
