Devon is particularly stunning at this time of year and so we've picked out 18 stunning pictures that encapsulate the county during the festive period
1. Even Santa would probably park his sleigh up to take in this vista of late evening sun on Brentnor Church and the snowy hills surrounding it
2. In fact we don't think he's going to get much done at all in Dartmoor with views like this at Little Mis
3. Exeter Cathedral Green is buzzing during the festive period as it hosts one of Devon's many Christmas markets
4. There are so many places for a beautiful winter walk - Watersmeet is just one of them
5. Sidmouth is just one of the many amazing coastal towns that are still gorgeous during winter
6. Dawlish looks beautifully intimidating as winter storms threatens to batter the coast
7. You're probably best off waiting for the weather to die down before going for a coastal walk near Burgh Island
8. These ponies may well have one of the county's best views for Christmas
9. Although humans probably prefer the sight of a cosy pub during the Christmas break
10. If there's not too much snow, Haldon Forest is a lovely place for a woodland walk
11. Our towns and cities also love to show off at this time of year: here Barnstaple struts its stuff at dusk
12. While the streets near Plymouth's Barbican are draped in beautiful Christmas lights
13. Yet Babbacombe Model Village might well just look better than them all!
14. Real villages like Colvelly look pretty good as well
15. Dartmoor is just that much prettier when your happy hound gets in the picture
16. In fact any Devon picture is better when there's a dog involved

18. Wherever you are across Devon, there are so many reasons our county is the best for Christmas!
