Wear Park Bar and Restaurant at Exeter Golf and Country Club opened its doors to the public earlier this year and is celebrating a successful first 6 months with a 129% increase in covers.

Wear Park Bar and Restaurant at Exeter Golf and Country Club opened its doors to the public earlier this year and is celebrating a successful first 6 months with a 129% increase in covers.

Until April, the restaurant was only open for club members and those using the conference and events facilities, however once the doors on the grand Georgian mansion house opened for all, it has attracted a wide range of diners which continues to expand.

As well as the increase in people using the restaurant for lunch, dinner and Sunday lunch, feedback about the food and service at Wear Park Bar and Restaurant has also improved greatly. In September, 91% of diners reported that the quality of the food was excellent, with 8% saying it was good. When asked if they would recommend the restaurant, 79% said definitely and 19% said yes.

Martin Halse, General Manager of Exeter Golf and Country Club, which is home to Wear Park Bar and Restaurant said,

We are delighted with the feedback so far as it demonstrates how much our customers are enjoying their experience at Wear Park Bar and Restaurant, and that, for us, is the real seal of approval from our lunchtime and dinner diners.

We strive to delivery excellence across the club as a whole, and the restaurant is part of this. The proof of the pudding is the number of people using the restaurant, and with a 129% increase, we are happy to say we are certainly heading the right direction.

Wear Park Bar and Restaurant recently launched their autumn/winter menu which features modern British cuisine created especially for the season, using predominately local meats, fish, cheese and vegetables.

Wear Park Bar and Restaurant offers traditional Sunday lunches from 9 per person and 2 courses for 12 offers at lunch and dinner between 6pm and 7pm.
