Wine lounge is an Immediate Hit
Plymouths Royal William Yards latest new attraction has thrown opened its doors with a warm bienvenue for hundreds of wine lovers across the city.
Le Vignoble - French for The Vineyard - a new 150,000 independent wine lounge, has opened for business following months of detailed planning and careful fit out of its 1,050sq ft unit.
Heralded as a new concept for the city, Le Vignoble is the brainchild of Frenchman Yannick Lou who explained: Our philosophy is wine education. We want people to come in, relax and explore their individual tastes with expert assistance from our team. We are passionate about helping our customers discover wines from all over the world and the early signs show that there is a real thirst for this kind of experience!
The first commercial unit to open in the New Cooperage, part of Urban Splashs award-winning Royal William Yard, Le Vignoble has over 150 wines on offer and will regularly refresh its stock which wont feature wines available from supermarkets. Wines can be sampled, enjoyed by the bottle, or taken away by purchasing a top up smartcard.
In order to celebrate its opening, the new venue welcomed over 100 friends, family and business leaders to its launch events which saw guests enjoy fine wines from an Enomatic auto wine dispensing machine only the second of its kind in the UK and enjoy delicious Mediterranean tapas.
Amongst the guest were local professionals who provided specialist start up assistance to Le Vignoble including accountants Francis Clark, solicitors Bright LLP, insurers Westinsure and brand consultancy Fuel Communications.
Weve had a wonderful start with so many customers congratulating us on the idea of opening a wine lounge and businesses interested in wine tasting events for their staff. We look forward to welcoming as many people as possible to Le Vignoble to either begin or further their wine journey, commented Yannick.
