The Countryside Alliance Rural Awards

Does your local farmer, shopkeeper or retailer go the extra mile to contribute to community life? If so then you should nominate them for the Countryside Alliance’s Rural Awards - nominations close on November 13 so get them in quick!

And the Oscar goes to…

Do you know of a business worthy of winning a Rural Oscar? A retailer, perhaps, who defies the doom and gloom tales of rural decline and brightens up your community? If so, now is your chance to sing their praises by voting for them in the Countryside Alliance Rural Awards.

Nicknamed the ‘Rural Oscars’, the 13th annual awards will once again give farmers, butchers, village shops and small businesses a platform from which to tell their stories, and they will need the support of their customers to help propel them to the top prize. A new addition this year is the Best British Pub Award.

If you know of a local that supports regional produce and is central to your community, this is your chance to shout about it. Nominations close on 13 November. Regional champions will be announced in March 2018, with Welsh businesses attending a special reception at the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff. The regional champions then advance to the British final, which will be held in April 2018 at the House of Lords.

Visit The Countryside Alliance to nominate your favourites.
