All six of our Devon Home Cook of the Year finalists will attend our Food and Drink awards evening and all six will walk away with prizes that acknowledge their winning talent and skills in the kitchen.
We want to celebrate the achievements of our top home cooks and so here are the top three prizes we have put together for our top three prizewinners.
1st Prize: Includes a £500 John Lewis voucher; a new £500 KitchenAid (you choose the colour) and a unique day (priceless) cooking with Matthew Peryer, head chef at Devon’s Lewtrenchard Manor. You will stay at the hotel, meet Matthew and his talented team and learn more about the hotel’s amazing Purple Carrot private-dining-meets-interactive-dining experience. You will also take home the Devon Life Home Cook of the Year replica trophy which you will keep.
2nd Prize: You will be invited to choose a weekend cookery course of your choice at the UK’s top cookery school which just happens to be in Devon! Ashburton School of Cookery has recently expanded to offer an even wider range of fantastic courses and your prize, which includes free accommodation, is worth almost £500.
3rd Prize: You will be treated to a romantic foodie weekend with the one you love at the gorgeous Moorland Garden Hotel, Yelverton, where you will meet head chef, Bruce Cole and see (taste) for yourself why the hotel’s Wildflower Restaurant won Best SW Restaurant in the Taste of the West awards.
