Come up with a great name for the Rams Head Inn's guest bedrooms and you could end up staying in one - free!
Devon Life readers are being asked to help name the guest rooms at a North Devon inn that has undergone a major refurbishment.
The Rams Head Inn, a former coaching inn at Dolton, was bought by Simon Hunt and Darren Eastwood last year and has been transformed into a welcoming village hotel offering outstanding meals.
The new owners have also invested in the nine en-suite guest rooms creating a beautiful country hotel providing comfortable accommodation in the heart of the rural village – a perfect base from which to explore the North Devon countryside.
Now Darren and Simon want Devon Life readers to come up with names for each of the nine bedrooms – and there are great prizes for the ones that are picked.
The reader who suggests the name chosen for the king size master bedroom, which features a Victorian brass bed, will win an overnight stay for two at the Rams Head Inn with dinner and breakfast.
Eight other winners who suggest names chosen for the other rooms will each win lunch for two people at the hotel where acclaimed chef Dan Tugwell has created a tempting menu of pub classics with a modern twist.
The nine beautifully presented en-suite bedrooms include single, twin, double and four poster to family room and there are some on the ground floor rooms for the less able.
As well as the tastefully decorated dining areas in the pub itself the Rams Head Inn also recently unveiled its new secret garden, a sheltered courtyard where bees buzz among lavender plants and potted geraniums.
To enter the competition just email your suggested name for one of the pub’s guest bedrooms to email@example.com putting Rams Head Inn in the subject line. The competition closes on August 31.
Terms and conditions: The first prize is a stay for two people at the Rams Head Inn with dinner and breakfast. Eight other winners will win a meal for two people at the inn. The prize must be taken within six months of the competition closing date.
Usual Archant terms and conditions apply.
