One lucky Devon Life reader will win a one-day cookery course for two people at the newly opened Exeter Cookery School

Combining all the delights of the verdant countryside and rich coastline, Devon is home to a veritable hotbed of fabulous food producers. At its heart lies the beautiful city of Exeter, which is fast gaining a reputation as one of the region’s hottest foodie destinations. It’s not surprising, therefore, that Jim and Lucy Fisher hand-picked the city as the perfect location for their new foodie venture – Exeter Cookery School.
Based in a Grade II-listed building on Exeter’s historic Quayside, the school combines the character of a traditional 1830s’ warehouse with a contemporary high-tech Bulthaup kitchen supplied by Sapphire Spaces in Topsham and state-of-the-art Gaggenau appliances.
Having run a popular residential cookery school in the Dordogne, Jim and Lucy will be offering a feast of tantalising cookery courses, from how to create a range of basic sauces to mastering the art of butchery and meat cookery, a full day course run in conjunction with Pipers Farm.
