Devon-based estate agents Sawdye and Harris has been crowned Guild Estate Agent of the Year at a prestigious awards ceremony.

The Guild of Professional Estate Agents event, held at the Millennium Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London, saw members from across the UK attend a gala dinner following its annual conference.

Overall winner, long-established chartered surveyors, auctioneers and estate agents in Ashburton, Chudleigh and Moretonhampstead, Sawdye & Harris received the award from guild CEO Marcus Whewell before a large audience celebrating the outstanding achievements of fellow agents across the 700-plus strong network.

The judges were particularly impressed by Sawdye & Harris’s constant innovation, sophisticated use of social networking, and relentless drive to deliver outstanding customer service.

Marcus Whewell, CEO of The Guild of Professional Estate Agents, presented the awards to the Managing Director Katie Griffin, commenting: “It is my honour and privilege to be able to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our member agents, who are great ambassadors for The Guild and the industry. The quality of award entries this year was the highest ever, indicating how our organisation is moving forward and assisting its agents to give a truly outstanding service to the public. My sincere congratulations go to Sawdye and Harris who should be very proud of winning this hard-fought and prestigious award.”

Sawdye & Harris also won Regional Agent of The Year South West for the second year running, beating off stiff challenges from several other multiple awards winners.

“We are absolutely thrilled that our dedication to our business and professionalism has been recognized at such a high profile industry event,” says Katie. “To be described as absolutely outstanding is incredible, I am very proud. My thanks go to The Guild for their ongoing support and guidance and we feel privileged to be part of a group of the very best independent estate agents in the UK.”
