Regional law firm, Kitsons, has expanded its Family Law department with the appointment of divorce and private children law expert, Tony Hunt.

Tony has joined the firm at Partner level from Plymouth based law firm Wolferstans where he worked for 8 years, building an impressive client base. Previously a Partner at Whiteford Crocker, Tony is a well-regarded Solicitor with over twenty years experience in family law.

Working within Kitsons already highly regarded Family Law division, Tony has been charged with growing this area of law in Plymouth. Already well-established in the region and armed with vast amounts of local knowledge, Tony is excellently positioned to carry out this task.

Tony is both a trained mediator and collaborative lawyer and is a member of the Law Societys Law Accreditation Scheme. In addition, Tony is accredited by Resolution as a specialist in financial matters and private Children Act proceedings.

Speaking about his appointment, Tony said:

I am very excited about my new role at Kitsons, and in particular, the challenge of growing the family department in the Plymouth area. Kitsons is a young and dynamic firm, with great ambitions and a forward thinking vision and already the firm has made a great impression on me.

Having qualified as a Solicitor in 1996 while completing his training with Gill Akaster in Plymouth, Tony gained a wealth of experience in matters such as divorce, private law Children Act proceedings, ancillary relief applications and cohabitee disputes. And, working with Jeremy Howell, Head of Family at Kitsons, Tonys extensive knowledge, will add further depth to Kitsons Family Law division.

Working from Kitsons offices in Bretonside, Plymouth, Tony will take his position as a Partner in the Family Law department with immediate effect.
