BUNYIP BEADS AND BUTTONS CELEBRATES 10 YEARS

When a 24 year old woman opened a bead shop in Exeter ten years ago little did she realise the success she was to realise.

Mattie Richardson admits that she was young and gauche when she began her business but she was fortunate to hit on the right idea in the right place and at the right time. Bunyip Beads and Buttons in Exeters McCoys Aracde on Fore Street is now recognised as a hub of the citys active craft community. A marriage and two children later Mattie is still at the helm and she and her loyal and helpful staff are celebrating in style.

Starting from Weds 14th Nov, they will have 10 days of 10% off, culminating in 10% off everything in the shop on Sat 24th Nov.

On Weds 14th it will be 10% off all Vintage beads, on Thurs 15th it will be 10% off Vintage beads andJewellery leading up to 10% off everything on Sat24th.

Theres a whole new website coming online at bunyipbeads.com with lots of new facilities including the ability to book their hugely popular craft courses online and lots of new promotions.

Bunyip are launching a loyalty card so that customers get a stamp every time they spend 10 and when 10 stamps have accrued they get 10 to spend in the shop.

There will be new products, kits andjewellery in the shop.

On Sat 24th Nov, there will be a 'party day' in the shop withdrinks and nibbles, a special Make n Take session with teachers on hand going on all day, and some super special bargains, including the Bunyip Guide to Jewellery Making free with all purchases over 10.

But this is more than a story about a shop and a website, its a story of a young entrepreneur making good. Mattie says: I think that the real tale of our success has been our determination to treat our customers and staff with respect and understanding. I like to be made to feel special when I go somewhere and I want people who come to Bunyip to feel special. All of us go that extra mile and whilst we always try to provide great products at fair prices, its that personal touch that makes us what we are.
