The team at Specialist Travel Consultancy (the STC) organise adventurous family holidays and school expeditions across the globe and have teamed up with the kit experts at Cotswold Outdoor and Exeters Travel Health Consultancy who specialise in travel vaccinations and health advice. Together, the three companies plan to bring a little bit of adventure to Devon!

While the first presentation looks at snowy climes, the northern lights and alternatives to the classic family ski holiday, the next talk on Saturday 16th October will feature desert adventures in North Africa and Arabia. Further presentations covering wildlife, trekking, adventure and activity holidays are scheduled for January, February and March 2011.

Adrian Ferraro, who set up the STC in 2006, draws on his many years of experience in the travel industry to provide a unique experience for families looking for an alternative to conventional holidays. The talks will provide inspiration and advice on how families with children of all ages can enjoy fun, eye-opening and enriching adventures.

Adrian says We are really excited about our Family Adventure talks. We like to think we offer an inspired alternative to normal family holidays holidays that let you discover amazing cultures, jaw-dropping scenery and incredible wildlife. Such holidays are not only incredible fun, but also massively educational for both children and adults alike. They are the perfect tonic to todays hectic lifestyle and a chance to leave behind the play-stations and Facebook and explore the world together.
