Devon has plenty for you to do this Easter with the family

Devon is gearing up for a ‘sp’egg’tacular’ Easter, full of non-stop family fun and some cracking Easter events. There’ll be something for everyone, from baskets to bunnies and chicks to chocolate, there is no ‘eggs-cuse’ not to join in Devon’s ‘egg-stra’ special Easter celebrations.

Why not let the children spring into action and delight in finding eggs in a traditional egg hunt or a themed bunny hunt? See the children’s smiling faces as they fill their baskets with Easter goodies.

Climb aboard Seaton Tramway’s NEW Fairy Tram Ride, stretch your wings and brush up on your spells as the Fairy Godmother takes you on a magical journey to the ‘Fairy Kingdom’. Enjoy a scrumptious tea party, and take part in a variety of activities with an extra sprinkling of fairy fun!

There’s lots of family fun and adventure to be had at The Milky Way as well as free chocolate! NEW for 2017 you are invited to journey down the rabbit hole in their unique new Easter Grotto, a memorable Easter experience where they receive a chocolate egg direct from the Easter Bunny himself.

There’s a ‘Megga Easter Hunt’ at Crealy with over 10,000 free eggs and a full programme of live shows and fantastic rides. Easter sees the opening of the first of Crealy’s NEW rides for 2017: The Junior Driving School. Be amongst the first to test drive this new attraction and navigate the obstacles, making sure to follow the ‘Crealy Cross Code’ to gain your licence.

Enjoy Easter at Powderham Castle with the ‘The Essence of Eggs’, an egg-themed mad science event with an egg quiz, egg decorating, egg display and ‘egg-speriments’! Follow their trail and solve the quest.

You could get a ‘buzz’ this Easter with a trip to Quince Honey Farm. Meet the Easter bunny and try out the daily activities. Or why not head to Becky Falls? Let the children have a go at the craft activities, complete the ‘Egg-cellent’ quiz and enjoy a woodland walk.

Say hello to Spring this Easter at Pennywell. They have a bumper programme of Easter activities and a host of adorable new arrivals to meet and cuddle. The free half-hourly activities and the ‘eggs-tra’ Easter fun and games add to the enjoyment. There’s also a full line up of entertainment every day throughout the Easter holidays.

There’s an ‘Egg-streme’ Easter happening at Woodlands Family Theme Park. The Woodlands Easter Bunny will be joined by loads of NEW and exciting friends and you can make a visit to the Easter Bunny Grotto. It’s a family fun day out whatever the weather.

Hop over to Exmoor Zoo and take part in the egg-related Easter quiz and trail or head to Kents Cavern and go underground to see if you can complete the Dinosaur Quest, piecing together the Dino facts to win an Easter surprise!

Enjoy The Big Sheep’s annual Easter Eggs-travaganza Festival, 16 days of non-stop Easter fun. There will be masses of chocolate eggs to find, cute new-born lambs and fluffy bunnies to see. Meet the Easter bunny, have your face painted for free and take the Easter Express train ride.

South Devon Railway have a four day Easter Heritage Gala on 14th – 17th April with steam and heritage diesel trains, vintage cars and even an Easter Egg hunt for the children to ‘let off steam’ and enjoy.

Spring is most certainly in the air at World of Country Life, they have a full programme of fun for the whole family. There’s some Easter Arts and Crafts, a chicken run, Easter egg trail and the chance to meet the Easter Bunny himself.

So, get out and about over the Easter school holidays and you’ll be sure to have an ‘egg-ceptionally’ good time! To find out where all these Easter happenings and many more are taking place, have a look at the website www.lotstodo.co.uk
