Michael J Bowman has been holding regular auctions at Chudleigh Town Hall for antiques, ceramics, fine art, jewellery, militaria and collectors’ items since 1986. Newton Abbot and Teignbridge are the main areas he covers, however vendors regularly consign items throughout Devon.

Michael originates from Northumberland and left school aged 18, to join Whitley Bay firm of auctioneers, J. C. Featonby. Four years of training and professional examination culminated in admission to the old Incorporated Society of Valuers and Auctioneers (ISVA). On moving to Devon in 1986 he established his auctions in Chudleigh and continues to hold selective sales containing specialist categories, which include:

• Ephemera

• Glass and ceramics

• Metalware

• Treen

• Medals and Militaria

• Clocks and watches

• Silver

• Jewellery

• Antique Furniture

Nick Richards, Partner Charles Royle & Co Financial Planning:

Nick specialises in assisting individuals who are either planning to retire or have retired and are concerned about later life issues. Nick’s experience is coupled with holding up-to-date qualifications and continuing professional development to ensure clients receive the highest standards of advice and service. Relevant qualifications include the Diploma for Financial Advisers (DipFA), Certificate in Regulated Equity Release (CeRER) and Certificate in Long Term Care (CeLTCI).

Nick is a fully accredited member of The Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA), an independent (not for profit) organisation, which aims to ensure consumers are better informed about financial issues in later life. Also, Nick works extensively with Devon & Cornwall Police delivering retirement planning seminars and advising officers and staff throughout the South West.

Guests, friends and family are all welcome to pop in at any time between 2pm and 4pm. Refreshments will be provided.
