Devon’s Top Attractions are gearing up for a hauntingly good October Half Term

There’s going to be lots of spine tingling Halloween themed events that promise to entertain the whole family and keep all little monsters occupied throughout the whole of the Autumn half term week.

The top visitor attractions will be offering a best ever assortment of ghoulishly delightful and terrifying ghastly Halloween events, with over 50 fun events currently on their website www.lotstodo.co.uk.

Simon Fishwick, Chairman of the Devon Association of Tourist Attractions said

“Devon’s Top Attractions will be offering a week of chills and thrills for all ages! From adrenaline packed excitement at Devon’s top theme parks to lower key and less scary fun for the younger ones at other attractions. From ‘HallooScream’ to ‘Electric Shock O’Horrors’, the attractions have something for everyone, making this a hauntingly good half term and one for us all to enjoy.”

There’s a lot going on for the little ones this Happy Halloween with pumpkin fun and activities galore and loads of free pumpkins to take home. Take part in Killerton’s pumpkin trail and spot the pumpkins hiding in the garden. Discover some creepy creatures whilst your follow the Castle Drogo Halloween trail or take part in the Snakes and Lanterns week at Powderham. Enjoy the pumpkin carving and scary snake shows at the all-inclusive half term fun at Becky Falls. Why not delight in the Halloween activities on offer at Canonteign Falls and enjoy eight days full of eerie entertainment at Pecorama.

Venture underground for a spooky dig and underground pumpkin hunt at Kent’s Cavern or join them for their Halloween Ghost Tour on 31st October.

Why not meet Woodlands Family Theme Park’s brand new friendly monster called ‘Marty’. Find your way around the NEW Marty’s Monster Manor, a new attraction for this year with a spooky surprise around every eerie corner. Have breakfast with Marty Monster and attend the Monster Ball!

Crealy Adventure Park also has something new to offer this Halloween with its brand new ‘Trick or Treat’ attraction with the ‘Treehouse Trolls’ in their spooky wilderness. Dare you enter the Troll’s Treehouse for your trick or treat?

Meet Bicton Park’s resident witch in her coven and see whether she has a trick or treat up her sleeve and climb aboard Bicton’s spooky Halloween train ride.

See the Minions out at World of Country Life and enjoy their Halloween shows. There is a whole day of spooky fun on offer at the Halloween party at Quince Honey Farm on Sunday 25th October.

A Jolly-ween October Half Term is happening at Pennywell Farm where it’s all treats and no tricks and there are piggy cuddles all day every day on offer. A full week of action packed fun – guaranteed!

For the older and braver souls and those seeking a real bone-chilling experience, head over to The Big Sheep and enjoy one of the ‘Scary by Night Fright Fest’ Halloween evening parties on 29th – 31st October, prepare to be petrified. Dare to ride on Seaton Tramway’s ‘Tram of Terror’ or attend one of Escot Park’s Fright Nights! Babbacombe Model Village is offering Halloween evenings of Mini Horrors, with eerie illuminations and live actors roaming around the gardens. Dare to ride aboard South Devon Railway’s Halloween Express on 31st October, a scary special train that disappears off into the gloom from Buckfastleigh at 6.30pm.

Don’t miss the River Dart Country Park’s explosive firework display on Saturday 31st October along with daredevil activities throughout the day. You can also see firework displays at Crealy Adventure Park on 1st November and at The Big Sheep on 5th November.
