Webbers Estate Agents, in conjunction with Fine & Country, Signature Homes and specialist property finders "County Home Search" attended their 19th Annual West Country Property Exhibition in Guildford last weekend (21st and 22nd April).

Webbers Estate Agents, in conjunction with Fine & Country, Signature Homes and specialist property finders County Home Search attended their 19th Annual West Country Property Exhibition in Guildford last weekend (21st and 22nd April).

The event, organized by Webbers, in association with Clarke Gammon Wellers Estate Agents and Auctioneers, one of Surreys oldest established firms, was a resounding success reports Napoleon Wilcox. Day 1 alone, brought in buyers from across Surrey from Guildford, Farnborough, Epsom, Leatherhead, Haselmere, Woking and numerous other towns and communities, including some even travelling in from Sevenoaks in Kent.

The event was very heavily promoted throughout the region by Webbers and featured many hundreds of their Fine & Country and Signature Homes properties. Extensive advertising coverage within the regional West Surrey Advertiser, Web marketing, maildrops and personal invitations to existing potential buyers from across the region.

Considering the power of the internet and the fact that these properties are all available on line, it is always a great testament to the quality and reputation of the Webbers property exhibitions that so many people travel from near and far to attend the exhibition. In the main, the vast majority of buyers were already actively focused on moving to the West Country but felt that the ability to spend quality time with a West Country agent discussing their property needs in detail, was a real continued benefit and that this allowed us to actually learn far more detail about each buyers commitment and their expectations allowing us to focus on the right property and areas for their needs.

The buyers themselves commented, both at the exhibition and subsequently, that the event was invaluable, creating an opportunity to build a rapport and to learn more on the trends within the West Country property market.

Almost every type and style of property was being sought with price budgets of those attending ranging between 200,000 and over 1.5million. Holiday homes and investment properties were a traditional requirement but the vast majority were seeking to relocate to the West Country.

Those relocating in the main sought homes with letting cottages and incomes, others sought period and modern, village and rural properties. Some seeking renovation projects, others wishing to find modern purpose built property that they can just walk into with little or no work required.

An interesting trend this particular year has been the number of buyers seeking homes that were within walking distance of village or town amenities, many specifically mentioning the need to find homes where limited day to day travel was required to save on fuel costs, a trend not seen at previous exhibitions.

Webbers are now actively registering these buyers with their database and feeding each requirement back to their respective network of West Country Offices. We will also be actively seeking other new instructions to try to match these buyers requirements with either existing homes for sale through Webbers, Webbers Signature and Webbers Fine & Country or with new instructions coming onto the market over the coming months.

Holiday Homes, Holiday Complexs, homes with work studios, properties for renovation, brand new bespoke homes and apartments, homes with sea views, properties with land or large mature gardens, bungalows for retirement with ease of access to shops and amenities, Period terraced homes, Period village and country homes, secluded country homes with good out riding, as well as bespoke Eco Friendly property and Listed property of architectural importance and interest.

Napoleon concluded Every year for each of the past 19 years, our events have been very well attended and received a considerable and positive response from buyers within the Home Counties. Even with the London Marathon and the Grand Prix there continued to be focused buyers looking to move westwards for a new way of life.
