Knight Frank Strengthens Exeter Team

Knight Frankss Exeter office is celebrating having strengthened their residential property services across Devon, Cornwall and West Somerset. The successful long-standing team has achieved a major coup by enticing Knight Franks London-based Waterfront Property specialist Christopher Bailey to transfer to Devon.

Christopher brings exceptional contacts and knowledge of the all-important London buyers who are so vital for the sales of prime waterfront and country houses in the South West. The arrival of the London expert will further complement Knight Franks highly popular existing team.

Knight Frank now has three distinct specialisms working out of the Exeter office: Country property sales, Waterfront sales and a dedicated Exeter City sales desk.

Knight Frank has the largest country department in the business and is the only national agent that has its own Waterfront brand, which gives it a big edge when selling properties for clients in the West Country. The Exeter City Desk has grown in response to increased demand for city centre homes. Exchanges and sales agreed already this year are up significantly across all these property sectors.

The team are having an outstanding start to the year and 2012 has seen a dramatic increase in the number of sales. Already viewings are up by 10%, new instructions by 17% and most importantly the average number of days a property takes to sell is down by 30%. They have achieved success not only in selling prime and super-prime properties but also in achieving significant sales across a wide range of property values. William Morrison, Head of Knight Frank Exeter said, We regularly act for clients looking to sell all types of property at all price levels where we can expose them to the national market. They all receive the same level of professionalism and access to Knight Franks global database of interested buyers. Knight Franks major appeal for all sellers is its unparalleled access to the national and international buyer who will buy anything from a small cottage to a substantial estate.

Particularly in this current market, Knight Frank recommends that selling your house is approached with a careful strategy as the selling price can be greatly influenced by the quality of presentation. This means that a small investment in professional photography and national marketing should easily be recouped with often a higher selling price achieved as a result. Not doing so really is a false economy. This professional approach is vital when Knight Frank features the property across its 18 London offices where it can catch the attention of London-based buyers wanting to move to or buy a second home in Devon or Cornwall.

William continued, We find that more and more of our clients are using us as a one-stop shop for selling their home and finding the next and we are delighted that our recently strengthened team is achieving so much success right across the market.
