A successful South Devon holiday complex is looking forward to exciting plans for expansion and enhancement of its luxury accommodation

Hillfield Village, just three miles from Dartmouth, has been under new ownership since last year, benefiting from significant investment in and improvement of the current facilities, as well as being fully re-branded.

The village currently consists of 22 self-catering cottages and six apartments, from one to five bedrooms, sleeping up to 12 guests in total and nestled in the beautiful South Hams countryside, and is just a short drive from miles of stunning coastline. The holiday properties each have well equipped kitchens incorporating modern appliances, tasteful furnishings and luxury bathrooms (most with whirlpool baths).

A number of the larger units also have a private outdoor hot tub and one even boasts a private sauna! With all this plus wonderful views, extensive beautifully landscaped gardens, an all-weather tennis court, children’s play areas and a swimming pool, it is easy to understand why Hillfield Village has become such a sought after destination for a family holiday or short break in Devon.

Director of Operations, Martyn Ball comments: “We were delighted to take on this very well respected holiday complex in 2013 and are committed to ensuring that we continue to provide the highest level of service and quality of accommodation.

“Whilst the accommodation is all of a very high four-star and five-star standard, we have already redecorated some of the cottages, together with the outside of the main manor house, and significantly refurbished the swimming pool to ensure our guests continue to enjoy their accommodation and our on-site amenities.

“We are also very pleased that members of the former family partnership, Caroline and Michael Edwards, remain with us at the heart of the team on site, ensuring guests continue to receive the same friendly, helpful and professional service.”

Coast & Country Cottages has been the exclusive marketing agent for Hillfield Village since 2005.

Director Andrew Jones adds: “We have had a long-standing and enjoyable relationship with Hillfield Village since 2005 and were very pleased to offer support to Caroline, Michael and the family for almost eight years.

“We are now particularly excited to be working with the new management team and by the plans they have to take Hillfield Village forward to the next level.”

Hillfield Village achieved 100% occupancy throughout the 2013 summer holiday period and for the 2014 season Coast & Country Cottages will continue to market all the existing Hillfield Village cottages and apartments.

Andrew continues: “We anticipate a high level of interest and record enquiries for Hillfield Village in 2014 and look forward to confirming the development plans to our regular visitors as they unfold over the next year or so.”
