Why shouldn’t the most important room in the house be extra special, asks CHRISSY HARRIS

It’s a place we spend so much time in – so why shouldn’t the most important room in the house be extra special?

Just ask Lynn Clarke. She says her new Bradburys kitchen brings a smile to her face every time she walks in.

This thoroughly satisfied customer chose a beautiful Alno star design, with Vetrina units and Corian worktop, all in a stunning platinum blue.

Lyn and husband Rob say they worked closely with staff at Bradburys in Exeter to plan their new kitchen for their modern Newton Abbot home – and they’re delighted with the results.

“We’re absolutely thrilled,” says Lyn. “I just love the colour – that alone brings a smile to my face every time I walk in. I just love the fact that everything is where it should be. It’s great for me because I’m slightly disabled. I can get around easily and it all just works so well.”

The couple opted for Miele appliances. Bradburys is one of the first UK kitchen showrooms to offer Miele’s new generation appliances, which incorporate touch screen technology for ease of use along with glass and steel finishes for the ultimate in contemporary styling.

Lyn says her new gadgets – especially a state of the art steam oven - have helped make her new kitchen a real pleasure to work in.

“Everything about this kitchen just encourages you to cook,” she says. “I don’t get to do it as much as I used to but I still love it. We had my neighbours over for Christmas and I cooked dinner for all seven of us.
I was so happy to show the kitchen off!”

The couple are delighted with the service from Bradbury’s and say staff have helped them every step of the way.

“My wife had a pretty good idea about what she wanted because she’s a very good cook,” says Rob. “Bradbury’s helped us with the design and were great to work with.”

Lyn adds: “They were fantastic. They just quietly got on with it all. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.”

John Windsor also recently had a Bradburys kitchen installed at his home in Exton.

The design includes Stoneham Elan kitchen units in light oak with Corian worktop in Abalone.

“We’re very pleased with it,” says John. “We told the team at Bradburys what we wanted in terms of the basic shape. They then got on and got the job done.”

Bradbury’s showroom manager Mike Richards says good customer service is all part of the package.

“A key part of our job is to listen carefully to the client so we can achieve a design that not only works but fulfils their dream kitchen,” he says.

“Working with clients like the Clarkes and the Windsors makes our job a real pleasure.”
