Oddfellows Gastro Pub, Exeter

Tuck into a delicious Sunday lunch at Oddfellows, a charming gastropub located on New North Street, Exeter. Enjoy succulent meats, including roast shoulder of pork, alongside crispy roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and a Yorkshire Pudding that will melt in your mouth! Save room for dessert; Oddfellows serves an indulgent sticky pudding with toffee sauce and clotted cream that’s bound to satisfy your sweet tooth. You can also find Oddfellows in the picturesque town of Exmouth.

Exeter Golf and Country Club, Exeter

For stunning countryside views and a delightful piano performance while you dine, look no further then the sophisticated venue of Exeter Golf and Country Club.

From 12 to 3pm every Sunday, sample the perfect ‘roasties’ alongside succulent meat like the roast loin of Holsworthy pork coated with apple puree and cider gravy. Finish off with the delicious caramelized banana bread and butter pudding and vanilla seed ice cream.

The Ring of Bells, Cheriton Fitzpaine

Situated in the delightful village of Cheriton Fitzpaine is The Ring of Bells, a proper country pub serving up a delicious roast every Sunday. Expect pot roast chicken and pigs in blankets, braised carrots, cabbage and celeriac puree with chorizo crumble. For afters dig into the lemon mousse with blackcurrant sorbet and shortbread.

Lodgehill Hotel, Tiverton

Nestled on the edge of Tiverton is this historic gem, the Lodgehill Hotel, an old farmhouse which was built in 1785. The hotel prides themselves on their extensive menu boasting plenty of tasty dishes with local produce, especially their Sunday lunch.

With close proximately to a number of Devon’s popular attractions and landmarks, including Exeter University, this makes for the perfect pit stop for a tasty home cooked meal.

The Tower Inn, Slapton

After a leisurely morning walk along the scenic coast of Start Bay, unwind and refuel at The Tower Inn in Slapton with a hearty Sunday roast and a pint of real ale in hand. Situated next to the beautiful historic 14th century tower, this hidden gem is dog-friendly too so it makes for the perfect spot to relax with your four-legged friend at your feet!

Drake Manor Inn, near Yelverton

A short drive from Yelverton, the Drake Manor Inn is a 16th century pub with a lovely wood burning stove to cosy up to in the colder months. On Sunday, tuck into a dish of locally sourced meat accompanied by duck fat roasties and vegetables; for pudding why not try the apple and blackberry crumble with cinnamon custard – yum! On the Rocks, Torquay

While away a Sunday afternoon at the unique eatery of On the Rocks in Torquay. Try to grab a table in the beautiful outdoor seating area, where you can soak in scenic views across Devon’s waters while you tuck into a tasty roast dinner. Enjoy dishes such as the West Country free range chicken supreme before polishing off the flaming vanilla crème brulée for dessert.
