Heralding a month of celebrations with more than 200 events taking place across the South West, Celebration of Food is now one of the UKs largest festivals of its kind.

Throughout October the regions leading restaurants, cafes, festivals, farm shops and producers are offering customers a serious dose of culinary indulgence, from tasting menus using local produce to family friendly food-themed events to celeb chef demos and food shows.

Toasting its 10th edition will be a host of well known faces including wine expert Susy Atkins, while Nathan Outlaw is treating lucky foodies to an evening Masterclass with Mark Hix.

A selection of leading businesses are also putting their name behind the event including Darts Farm, Michelmores Solicitors, The Devilled Egg Kitchen Academy and Ethical Addictions coffee.

Jo Rees, of Barnstaple based organisers Salt Media said: This years Celebration looks to be a winner with tonnes of fabulous events for foodies to take part in during October. Im especially looking forward to the North Devon Foodfest which is one of the largest events during this years Celebration of Food, and with so much going on across the South West its a great opportunity for those within the region and those visiting to enjoy a gourmet getaway.

The Celebrations Eat Out for 10 dining promotion is another winner, enabling food lovers the chance to experience the finest of the regions cookery and hospitality without hitting the wallet too hard.

So, whether its learning how best to crack a crab or enjoying a candle lit dinner for two, Celebration of Food is the perfect excuse to indulge in everything that is wonderful about the regions food, drink and hospitality.
