The Cary Arms at Babbacombe in South Devon

Archant

The Cary Arms, a stylish inn located right on the beach in Babbacombe, Devon, exudes the charm and characteristics of an English inn, yet the cool feel and luxury of a hotel.

Eight rooms provide sea-facing luxury accommodation, with a further four converted fisherman’s cottages available, all with impressive sitting rooms and fully-equipped kitchens. Perfect for families or small groups wishing to spend some quality time together, each cottage is set within its own garden, all with sweeping sea-views.

Recently joining forces with leading Parisian spa and skincare specialist Yon-Ka, the exciting new venture provides a range of well-deserved relaxing spa treatments. Yon-Ka’s rose candle full body massage is a must try treatment!

The inn is already well known for its friendly style and high-quality seaside gastro-pub style food. Head Chef Ben Kingdon changes his menus daily, with coast and country reflected in equal measure. Ben’s ethos is very much about high-quality ingredients, ensuring seasonality plays a prominent role on the menu. Ben has been with the Cary since it opened in 2009 and under his charge the kitchen has steadily gained an excellent reputation. Working closely with local producers ensures a choice of seasonal dishes are readily available. For example, appearing this month will be best Devonshire lamb, succulent crabs and line caught mackerel. And with an outdoor fireplace, a warming aroma welcomes - a real romantic setting to enjoy relaxing sundowners.

For guests visiting via motor-launch, the Cary has six moorings for guests. Perfect for a quick respite from the sea and the chance to sample the Cary’s famous summer seafood platter, with a glass of chilled Champagne on the terrace! For your chance to win a one night stay to include dinner and full English breakfast, simply answer the following question. The winner will be notified after the closing date of 25 October.

The prize is subject to availability and must be taken by 28th February 2014.
