After an overwhelming response to last month’s competition, Devon Life has teamed up with Food Drink Devon and its members for the second time to create another delectable foodie prize

This month it includes a stay at The Salutation Inn, meals at The Pattard Kitchen, Waterside Bistro and Exeter Golf and Country Club, plus goodie boxes from Black Tor Brewery, Luscombe Drinks and Pretty Local.

The first part of this delicious prize is a two-night stay for one lucky couple in a boutique bedroom at The Salutation Inn, Topsham, a hotel that has been providing bed and sustenance to sailors, travellers and revellers for nearly 300 years. Included in the package is a sumptuous four-course dinner and a bottle of Prosecco.

Tom Williams-Hawkes is the chef director and, having previously worked alongside Michael Caines and Gordon Ramsay, it is no wonder The Salutation Inn has a high reputation for gourmet banqueting (salutationtopsham.co.uk).

The lucky winner will also have the chance to enjoy a three-course meal for two, including drinks, at one of North Devon’s most celebrated new venues. The Pattard Kitchen in Hartland is a small restaurant in a unique rural setting which aims to be as sustainable as possible and to always cook from the heart.

With a contemporary outlook on an ever changing food scene, chef patron, Bjorn Moen, creates astounding food which constantly receives rave reviews (pattardkitchen.com).

The feasting continues at Waterside Bistro which offers al fresco dining throughout the day on its riverside terrace in Totnes. Here the winner will enjoy a fabulous Waterside Seafood Platter which includes half a lobster, mussels, oysters, Atlantic prawns and Devon crab (watersidebistro.com).

The final part of the food tour for our winner is a visit to Exeter Golf and Country Club, where they will be served a Fizz Afternoon Tea for Two with a choice of G&T or Prosecco to accompany freshly-made finger sandwiches and tempting treats (exetergcc.co.uk/wear¬park¬restaurant).

It’s not just about dining out - the prize also includes some incredible Devon produce to enjoy at home. Black Tor Brewery, an independent brewery handcrafting quality cask-conditioned and bottled ales in Christow, Dartmoor National Park, will send the lucky winner a mixed case of 12 award-winning bottled ales (blacktorbrewery.co.uk).

Luscombe Drinks, a family owned business producing beautifully crafted drinks on their farm in Devon since 1975, will deliver a mixed case of their award-winning range of soft drinks created using the finest ingredients and soft Devon spring water (luscombe.co.uk).

Finally, Pretty Local, an online marketplace delivering local produce in the South Hams will provide the winner with a wonderful breakfast box filled with local sausages, bacon, free range eggs, bread and more (prettylocal.co.uk).
