Anita Newcombe, Regional Managing Director
At work… oversees the publication of Devon Life, Somerset Life, Dorset magazine and Cornwall Life, parties a lot in the community and makes sure everything runs smoothly at our Totnes HQ.
Outside of work… loves getting out and meeting people all around the county with her husband Richard; trying out new country walks and getting wet in the family’s ancient Westerly Centaur sailing boat.
Julian Rees, Group Production Manager
At work… with the help of his design and copy teams Julian pulls all the words and pictures together and meets the print deadlines for all of Archant Life’s South-west titles.
Outside of work... he can be found either covering a social diary event, hanging at the end of a rope on one of the Devon’s cliffs or tors, or hurtling through the countryside on his mountain bike or motorbike…
Tim Randell, Publisher
At work… Tim oversees the publication of Cornwall Life, Somerset Life, Devon Life and Dorset magazine. His role is to get the best out of the fantastic people who do the hard work.
Outside of work... wine, women and song and in particular Lily and Amanda, the two loves of his life.
Jan Barwick, Editor
At work… manages all editorial content, from commissioning writers, whipping the words into shape, slashing the superfluous and checking that it all makes sense.
Outside of work…tramps about in remote places, exploring and photographing wonderful Devon, potters in the garden and sails the family Wayfarer dinghy on the River Dart
Rachel Smith, Marketing Manager SW
At work... is responsible for organising events, networking lunches, shows and promotions across the titles Devon Life, Somerset Life and Cornwall Life. Rachel also attends local events that are held in the community but you are just as likely to see her tramping across muddy fields in her wellies one day, as socialising with James Bond the next.
Outside of work... her social whirl continues
Jonathan Nicholas, Regional Retail Sales Manager
At work… Jonathan looks after the sale and promotion of the South-west publications and is the longest-serving member of the team. He has almost single-handedly built the Devon Life sales from launch to an August best ever total of just under 21,000 copies last year.
Outside of work… he rides big fast powerful Italian motorcycles, plays around on his Sunseeker 51 yacht and hangs out with international models (he wishes).
